Eric O'Flaherty agrees to minor league contract with Pirates

PITTSBURGH -- Left-hander Eric O'Flaherty has agreed to a minor league contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates and will report to major league spring training.

O'Flaherty posted a combined 1-2 with an 8.10 ERA in 30 innings and 41 relief appearances last season with Oakland and the New York Mets, who acquired him on Aug. 4.

He has a 22-11 career with a 3.24 ERA and one save in 435 relief appearances. He has pitched for Seattle (2006-08), Atlanta (2009-13), Oakland (2014-15) and the Mets (2015). O'Flaherty had Tommy John surgery in May 2013.

Pittsburgh announced the deal Thursday night.
