CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Hornets say center Al Jefferson will miss approximately two to three weeks with a strained left calf.
Jefferson underwent an MRI on Monday. He was injured in the first quarter of Charlotte's 87-82 win against Milwaukee on Sunday.
Jefferson is averaging 13.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game for the Hornets, who have won five of six. The 30-year-old Jefferson has led Charlotte in rebounding five times and has four double-doubles.
