LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska guard Tarin Smith has announced he's transferring, making him the second player to leave the program in two days.
Coach Tim Miles said Tuesday night he's disappointed in Smith's decision. The guard from Ocean Township, New Jersey, played in all 31 games as a freshman this past season, averaging 4.5 points and 1.6 rebounds. He scored a season-high 13 points in a loss to Ohio State in February.
Forward Walter Pitchford announced Monday that he would forego his senior season so he could concentrate on finishing his degree at Nebraska.
