Smith scores 23 to lead New Hampshire past Bryant 75-67
DURHAM, N.H. -- Jaleen Smith scored 16 of his career-high 23 points in the final 8:42 and Jacoby Armstrong added 14 points to help New Hampshire beat Bryant 75-67 Monday night.
Ronnel Jordan finished with 13 points and Iba Camara added eight with 11 rebounds for New Hampshire (4-2).
Bryant (2-5) used a 12-3 run to take a 54-47 lead with 8:56 to play.
Smith hit a jumper, then a 3-pointer before Jordan made a layup to tie it just more than two minutes later. Smith hit another 3 -- and converted a 3-point play -- during a 10-0 run that put the Wildcats in front, 66-57, for good with three minutes left. He hit 5 of 6 free throws in the final 35 seconds to seal it.
New Hampshire made 10 of 28 from 3-point range while the Bulldogs made just 3 of 17 from behind the arc.
Dan Garvin led Bryant with 15 points.
