Raiders ink CB Dowling, 9 others to practice squad
APNewsNow.
ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders have signed former New England cornerback Ras-I Dowling to their practice squad.
Dowling played nine games for the Patriots in 2011-12 after being drafted in the second round. He spent last season on the New York Jets' practice squad and was released by the Jets last week after being hampered by foot and groin injuries in training camp.
The other nine players added Monday had been released by the Raiders when the team cut its roster to 53 players.
They are running back George Atkinson III; defensive linemen Denico Autry and Ricky Lumpkin; linebackers Bojay Filimoeatu and Spencer Hadley; offensive linemen Dan Kistler and Lamar Mady; receiver Seth Roberts and tight end Scott Simonson.
