Chargers place Ingram on injured reserve-return
SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Chargers have placed outside linebacker Melvin Ingram on injured reserve-designated for return with a hip injury.
The move Saturday came less than 24 hours before the Chargers play at Buffalo.
Ingram will be eligible to return to the active roster following the team's Nov. 9 bye.
Ingram played in only four games last year after tearing up his left knee during an offseason practice. He was on the physically unable to perform list for the first 12 games.
