Panthers declare Williams, 4 others out vs Packers
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Panthers have downgraded the status of running back DeAngelo Williams and four other players to out for Sunday's game at Green Bay.
The team said Saturday that running back Fozzy Whittaker, cornerback Bene Benwikere, linebacker Chase Blackburn and guard Amini Silatolu are also out. All five had been listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report.
Carolina did not update the status of wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, who has a concussion and was to meet with an independent physician Saturday.
The Panthers also signed linebacker Adarius Glanton to the active roster from the practice squad and waived safety Robert Lester.
