Browns activate Josh Gordon, set for season debut
CLEVELAND -- The Browns activated star wide receiver Josh Gordon, clearing the way for him to make his season debut on Sunday in Atlanta.
Cleveland officially activated the All-Pro from the exempt/commissioner permission list Saturday and waived backup outside linebacker Keith Pough.
The roster move with Gordon was a formality after he was reinstated earlier in the week after serving a 10-game league suspension for violating the drug policy. He'll be on the field at the Georgia Dome when the Browns (6-4) take on the Falcons (4-6).
Gordon, who led the NFL with 1,646 yards receiving in just 14 games last season, looked good in practice this week and will likely be in the starting lineup. After serving a two-game suspension last season, Gordon caught 10 passes for 146 yards in a win over Minnesota.
Pough spent the first 10 weeks on the Browns' practice squad.
