Titans claim tight end Cunningham off waivers from Jets
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have claimed tight end Jerome Cunningham off waivers from the New York Jets.
The Titans announced the move Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Cunningham was waived by the Jets who had claimed the tight end after he played nine games for the New York Giants last season with eight catches for 59 yards. The Giants signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Connecticut State in 2014, and he spent much of that season on the practice squad.
Cunningham caught 61 passes for 690 yards and seven touchdowns in college.
The roster move leaves the Titans with 90 players.
