Saints add C.J. Wilson, place Kyle Wilson on injured reserve
METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints have placed cornerback Kyle Wilson on injured reserve and have signed defensive tackle C.J. Wilson.
C.J. Wilson, whose acquisition was announced Friday by Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, is a six-year veteran who split last season between Oakland and Detroit. He played in four games for the Raiders and eight with the Lions and was credited with 13 tackles and a sack.
C.J. Wilson began his NFL career as a seventh-round draft choice by Green Bay in 2010. He has played in 78 games, starting 19, during his career.
Kyle Wilson, a former Jets first-round draft choice, joined the Saints last season, making one interception, after spending his first five years in New York.
The Saints have not disclosed his injury.
