OTTAWA, Ontario -- Alex Chiasson of the Ottawa Senators has been awarded a $1.2 million, one-year deal in arbitration on Sunday.
The restricted free-agent forward and the Senators went to arbitration. Chiasson was seeking more than $2 million, the team $1 million.
The 24-year-old Chiasson was part of the trade that sent Jason Spezza to the Dallas Stars last summer. He had 11 goals and 15 assists in 76 games this season.
Mike Hoffman is Ottawa's last major restricted free agent left to sign. His arbitration hearing is Thursday.
