Former Alabama assistant coach Bo Davis to intern for Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Former Alabama assistant coach Bo Davis, who resigned in April amid an NCAA investigation into recruiting violations, was one of five training camp interns announced by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday.

Davis spent the 2014-15 seasons coaching the defensive line at Alabama -- his second stint with the Crimson Tide -- but resigned on April 29. AL.com reported that same day that Davis was being investigated by the NCAA for impermissible contact with recruits, specifically visiting several out-of-state recruits during a non-contact period.

Davis will assist with the defense with the Jaguars. The Jaguars also announced four other coaching interns, including former Florida State standouts Leon Washington and Dexter Jackson, who also was the Super Bowl XXXVII MVP.
