Hokies' seniors drink from Commonwealth Cup after handily beating Cavaliers

The Virginia Tech Hokies faced the University of Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday, battling it out once more for the Commonwealth Cup.

The two Virginia-based schools have a rivalry dating back to 1895, but they've been competing for the cup only since 1996.

In a seemingly easy victory, the Hokies won 52-10. After the game, the Tech seniors celebrated by drinking from the coveted Commonwealth Cup. Tech now leads the cup series 18-3.

N.C. State's win over North Carolina secured the Coastal Division title for Virginia Tech, sending them to the ACC championship game next Saturday against No. 4 Clemson. The game will be played in Orlando.
