RALEIGH, N.C. -- North Carolina State says guard Braxton Beverly will have surgery on his broken left hand.
Team spokesman Craig Hammel said Monday that Beverly fractured his hand on Friday during practice and will have surgery Tuesday. Hammel did not say how much time Beverly is expected to miss, saying only that his status would be updated at a later date.
Beverly averaged 9.5 points and 3.9 assists in 31 games during his freshman season.
