Lakers' Lonzo Ball out, Brandon Ingram to return vs. Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Rookie point guard Lonzo Ball will miss his second straight game due to a sore left knee Wednesday night when his Los Angeles Lakers take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Ball did not participate in Tuesday's light practice or Wednesday morning's shootaround as he continues to receive treatment on his knee, which he injured late during Saturday's overtime win in Dallas.

"We do not expect him to play ... so he'll be out," Lakers coach Luke Walton said. "He says he feels better but is still limping around."

Walton later added that he doesn't think Ball will play in Friday's home game against the Indiana Pacers.

"He could play, but I don't expect him to," Walton said.

Though Ball continues to sit with his injury, the Lakers will have forward Brandon Ingram back to face the Thunder. Like Ball, Ingram did not play during Monday's loss in New Orleans. Ingram, who sprained his ankle against Dallas, ran and practiced on Tuesday and participated in Wednesday's shootaround.
