Vikings likely to be without WR Stefon Diggs vs. Lions

DETROIT -- Stefon Diggs had one of his breakout games at Ford Field as a rookie. His second trip to the stadium apparently won't be as memorable.

The Vikings wideout, who is listed as questionable for the team's Thanksgiving Day game with the Lions because of a knee injury, is unlikely to play Thursday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Diggs had not practiced all week because of the injury, and coach Mike Zimmer sounded unsure if the wide receiver would be able to play during his weekly radio appearance Wednesday.

In the Vikings' previous meeting with the Lions on Nov. 6, Diggs caught 13 passes for 80 yards in a loss.

His absence likely will mean more work for Adam Thielen, who caught five passes for 65 yards and a touchdown a week ago as the Arizona Cardinals used Patrick Peterson to shadow Diggs. Cordarrelle Patterson, who had four catches for 53 yards a week ago, also could become a bigger key to the Vikings' offense.

Minnesota and Detroit are tied for the NFC North lead at 6-4, but the Lions would assure themselves a victory in any division tiebreaker if they're able to secure a season sweep with a win.
