The Franchise QBs: Final rankings of top signal-callers in Cardinals history

We've identified the top all-time quarterbacks for every NFL team and asked our NFL Nation beat reporters -- and you, the fans -- to help us determine each signal-caller's place in franchise history.

What follows is the final ranking of the top quarterbacks in Cardinals history, both from our NFL Nation reporter and our final fan polling.

NFL Nation ranking:

1. Kurt Warner

2. Carson Palmer

3. Jim Hart

4. Neil Lomax

5. Jake Plummer

Regardless of how long he played in Arizona, Kurt Warner will forever be a Cardinals legend for leading the franchise to its first Super Bowl after the 2008 season. Like Warner, Palmer found a rebirth in the desert late in his career, putting up some of the best numbers of his career and in franchise history. In an eerie similarity, Palmer led the Cardinals to the NFC Championship Game after the 2015 season, the farthest the franchise has advanced in the playoffs since its Super Bowl run. For the long-time Cardinals fans, there may be no better quarterback than Jim Hart, who leads the franchise in total passing yards, pass attempts, pass completions and touchdown passes while playing for the Cards in St. Louis for 18 seasons. Behind Hart in the organization's record books is Lomax. And it was Plummer who helped the franchise end a 52-year playoff-win drought in 1999. -- Josh Weinfuss
