The Franchise QBs: Final rankings of the top signal-callers in Falcons history

We've identified the top all-time quarterbacks for every NFL team and asked our NFL Nation beat reporters -- and you, the fans -- to help us determine each signal-caller's place in franchise history.

What follows is the final ranking of the top quarterbacks in Atlanta Falcons history, both from our NFL Nation reporter and our final fan polling.

NFL Nation ranking:

1. Matt Ryan

2. Michael Vick

3. Steve Bartkowski

4. Chris Chandler

5. Chris Miller

Ryan, last year's MVP, is the unquestioned frontrunner here with franchise-career records in seven categories, including passing yards (37,701), touchdowns (240) and completion percentage (64.9). Based on quarterback statistics, Bartkowski should be right behind Ryan with the second-most career passing yards (23,470) and passing touchdowns (154). However, Vick gets the nod because the value and excitement level he brought to the franchise extended beyond numbers. Plus, Vick was the first QB in NFL history to reach 1,000 rushing yards in a season. Chandler and Miller each had 87 career touchdown passes, but Chandler had the better career passer rating at 87.4 and led the Falcons to a Super Bowl. -- Vaughn McClure
