Poll: Should the Atlanta Hawks trade Paul Millsap?

Atlanta Hawks

On Monday, ESPN's Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst reported the Atlanta Hawks would start fielding offers for Paul Millsap. According to the report, the Hawks are afraid of losing Millsap -- who can opt out of his contract this offseason -- for nothing. But would it be the right move for the team?

The Hawks have been solid this season after replacing Al Horford in free agency with Dwight Howard and trading Jeff Teague in order to let Dennis Schroeder take over starting point guard duties. However, their 18-16 record is a far cry from the team's 60 wins two seasons ago.

With reports that Millsap is likely to opt out and become a free agent this summer, the Hawks could trade the 31-year-old forward and attempt to get younger for the future. Then again, the Hawks could hold onto Millsap and have the inside track on giving him an extension this offseason.

So what do you think the Hawks should do? Cast your vote in the poll below!

Millsap is averaging 17.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. The team discussed trading the forward last season but chose to make another playoff run with him. He has been linked with deals to the Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets.
